I've been in dire need of revamping my wardrobe. God bless my husband who loves nothing more than to spoil me. Low and behold an Express shopping spree took place and hence this outfit was born. I finally found some items that resonate with my new found mommy hood 2.0. I must confess I am 26 years old and I've been feeling it lately. Time passing, my older daughter and now new baby. I see my life, love it but also think, "my goodness where did all this time go?" It's crazy isn't it! But let's pause the life crisis for a minute and focus on this jacket. I literally went "eeeep," when I found it lol. I'm bananas for denim jackets and a white wash grey denim with grey sleeves a hoodie and a good fit... Yup, I died for a moment. I was happily skipping around (sort of) and showing Joey my awesome find. I continued to find grey pieces and as shown this is the look I came up with. An a-symmetrical long sleeve knit blouse that paired well this this checker like pin stripe pencil skirt. I decided to keep the whole look grey and silvery so I pulled my trusted coach purse. This purse absolutely reminds me of that fish book with the sparkly fins. If you were raised in the 90's you know exactly what I'm talking about. Close up of my sequin purse. Such a statement piece that is simply divine. Ok so back to my 26 year old issues... In no way is 26 old but man time has been flying. I should also mention I was on my way to church and my music leader couldn't make it to church since he was moving homes and I was left to direct the worship this day. I always get a little flustered when I don't have at least a day to prep so I told myself I had to wear something I really like to make up for my slight frustration. The outfit absolutely helped. *sigh* I'm starting to build a small obsession with blouses like these. I'm totally feeling the vibe but not like Cisco from "The Flash". Am I the only one super into that show? Silver holographic heels from Call it Spring, a washed out grey look from Express and some Poppy pizzaz = me having a much better day. In all honesty though service was uhhmazing and as much as clothes can make you feel better (sorry if that sounds shallow), there's nothing like time spent with God that will feel the same. I can dress myself in fabulous finds and feel good for a moment but when you dress your soul in His presence it's doesn't fade, get old or go out of style. On the contrary it becomes more and more prevalent and is the ultimate source of satisfaction in our lives as Christians. Wishing you all beauties a wonderful week. Hey everyone! I am so excited for today's London-inspired look! Okay to I have a little secret I need to spill, I've recently been in a major style funk, does that ever happen to you girls? I would go to the mall and I would find nothing, but recently I went to Macy's and was looking around with my mom. We were just walking looking at different sections and then my mom called me over and showed me the coolest jacket I'd ever seen! It was a London military-inspired jacket! I had to have it! It was something I knew I couldn't pass up because where in the world would I find another one like it? It is a red jacket with beautiful detailing in the center of the jacket and on the sleeves. It had gold detailing along with velvet in the front and the perfect grey buttons to finish it off. After I bought it, I wondered how in the world I would style such a dramatic jacket, but after trial-and-error, I found the perfect outfit that would showcase the jacket. I decided to wear it with all black and my vintage gold purse to finish it off. I thought that if I paired it with another color it would be too much and take away from the jacket itself. I wore my most comfortable little heels, that I got from Ross for only $18.99. If you know me, you know I'm not the biggest heel wearer but I do like to wear them on occasion, and I decided today was an occasion. My plain black skirt is from Forever 21, which always has the best deals on midi skirts and well all their clothes in general. If you're looking for a good deals, I would definitely recommend Forever 21. Here is the jacket a little closer and ahh I just love it! It's one of my new favorite clothing items I own by far. It's so different and I definitely one of those finds you really just can't pass up! Oh and did I mention that it has pockets and it's a peplum. They might not be in trend right now, but I mean come on, who can really resist themselves a little peplum? All in all, I think I might be getting out of my little style funk and couldn't be more happy. This was definitely one of my most favorite outfits that I've worn in a while, and might I add that I received a lot of complements on it, which is always a plus. ;) Can't wait for you guys to see my next Sunday outfit, so stay tuned!
