A few weeks ago you probably saw my sisters beautiful modest princess look of which she chose Ariel from The Little Mermaid. It was very fun and exciting to recreate a character we've all heard of and grown up with. More so to have a modern/modest spin on things. Nicole went as far as going in to freezing cold water (due to the weather) to get a great shot. None the less my sister and I will go to great lengths to create the vision we have without those expensive Top Model photoshoot set ups. So here's my look... bringing you the Modern and Modest and perhaps not so mad Queen of Hearts! Now I know the Queen of Hearts does not come to mind when you think "Disney Princess" however I really couldn't help myself. I never gravitate towards what will seem the obvious choice, not that any other Disney Princess/Queen is any less amazing yet I can't help myself with pushing the limits. As we know the Queen of Hearts lives in Wonderland and it was really hard to figure out how to get the setting for a "Wonderlandish" photo. I mean Wonderland isn't real so I knew my photo editing skills would come in handy as long and I had the right background, props and setting. Every photo tells a piece of the story: about my day, going to decorate my garden with playing cards since (the Queen is Mad) and picking red roses as that is all she likes, not one can be white and finally later in the evening she is walking out of her Garden to go back to her Castle. I know the Queen isn't necessarily the protagonist to the story of "Alice in Wonderland" she's actually quite the opposite, she's known to be insane and if she gets mad at anyone she pretty much wants to axe them. While this seems funny I did't think everyone would see it with the same humor so hopefully I don't get fingers pointed for choosing a rather mad character and hopefully you all enjoyed! Above are photos of all our lovely participating bloggers so you can take a look!

I have been on the hunt for a fur collar for a while now! A couple weeks ago my mom surprised me with one and it was better than I imagined!! I had yet to wear so I decided to finally style it! I wanted the collar to be the main part since it was my favorite! I decided to style it with a simple burgundy long sleeve top from Forever 21. I thought those two colors complemented each other very well. I couldn't just add a simple black skirt because I felt it would make it to simple so I added a black and white striped skirt from once again Forever 21, and might add it has buttons and pockets!! Which make skirt a million times better! For shoes I wore these super cute burgundy heels from another vintage boutique, some of my favorite and comfiest heels.☺️ I think everyone needs a fur collar it is literally such a cute piece to have in your wardrobe to add some spunk to your outfit and mine was only $3.00 from a vintage shop!! So don't think you need to spend a lot of money on cute accessories when you can get some amazing and cheap ones, that are still in great condition, from little boutiques. Guys, I seriously love this outfit so much and will most likely wear it again...lol. I am guilty of being an outfit repeater, but I think we all are when we absolutely love our outfit!! ❤️ - Nicole ❤️ |
