Obsession is an understatement. If it has a baroque print and it's modest that piece of clothing will absolutely be in my closet. I love this print so much because it takes me back to my childhood. I would watch my mom (lover of fashion as well) get ready in the morning. After she would remove her pink steamed curlers and do her make up (at that time) she'd pull out this magnificent garment which seemed to be decorated in a jewel like print. I must've been 6 or 7 at the time but I still remember thinking she looked like a queen in her satin baroque blouse. That day I became a die hard fan and have been ever since.
The magical prints always have a classy expensive look to them and you'll be surprised to know that my top and blouse cost less than $25! That means you can be broke and still sport baroque so don't fret on the budget. I know these particular pieces might not be on the rack anymore as I did snag them on the sale rack in store and can't seem to find them online but I suggest you ladies keep an eye out for such styles. Don't be afraid to pair them up together to create baroque greatness. This is not for the simple color palette lover but to you printy/colorful daredevils out there try it out to see if you'll like it as it'll definitely ad some flair to your wardrobe. Keep the shoe simple, smile on and let the print do the talking.
yesterday the weather was quite cold and rainy so my little bean and I decided to wear black and white for our Sunday best. She wasn't much about smiles as a pup was walking by and she was so intrigued. The funny thing is she meowed at the puppy! I guess she's a little confused about the sounding nature of the animal but we'll eventually get that straightened out. My other little girl was off spending the night with her grandmother so this was a baby and me morning and Saru was soaking in all the attention. I loved putting her in this little coat I found at Gymboree that makes her look like a little grown up.
I was also thrilled to sport my new t-shrit dress from Forever21. It's a chiffon light weight dress so it's very comfortable and breathable. I did have to layer a body con black dress (also from Forever) to make it modest as the slits were high and the dress was a little sheer. I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for more of these silhouette style dresses as they flatter most figures. This trend is also very modern and chic which I love and as you can see is effortless to style. I'll be posting more mommy and me looks as well as some preggy outfits for my other mommys to be!
