So my print mixing endeavor begins...
Nicole and I were talking about prints a few days ago and she mentioned how she wanted to start matching more prints together and how there's people out there with a knack for print mixing. It is indeed an art and not the easiest thing to do but the combinations always look so amazing when done right. So here's my take on this black and white look.
I definitely recommend starting with simple colors. I'm not even branching out into braver waters just yet. Plus since the baby was born I haven't been much into color oddly enough. I think black and white is the easier route when mixing prints since it can mesh well together due to the color tones.
I also think there's a balance that needs to be met. For example a busy print will look good with a large bold print. If both were busy it just becomes too messy and it's not as easy on the eyes.
To accessorize I added this wonderful loop scarf I got a Nordstrom. I love they grey tone to it and how it really goes well with so many of my outfits. Nude & gold were my go to colors to complete the look.
I hope this can help you pave your way into mixing prints. It's a fun way to use what you already have in your closet and create a whole new look!
Wishing you all a wonderfully blessed week. On a side note we have a new office that we will be moving into this week hurray! We're excited to know that we no longer fit where we're working from and thus more space is a must.
