I mean whoah! There's lots going on here and though my eyes are busy I like it. I definitely had fun putting this outfit together. Originally I was gonna pair this top with a simple black skirt but simple isn't always a must. I love the playful nature of this look and i think I'm finding my way with my pattern mix binge.
I mentioned in my last post how it can be tricky to mix 2 prints with small patterns because it won't look appealing to the eye. I do however think I found what works for busy prints.
When on print in inverted and you mix a white on black print with a black on white print it works. See my blouse has a very balanced print and my skirt has white polka dots on a black canvas. If my skirt were inverted (black polka dots on white) I really don't think this look would have worked. Hopefully you play with your black and white patterns and see what works of you.
I also think the touch of red on the peplum and my red wedges look ubber fab! I totally wanted to make this look very playful and fun which I totally got the feel of. Btw I got this fabulous top from All Things New Apparel a new Apostolic clothing company that believes things deserve a second chance and re-sells cute items like this Banana Republic top that made it's way into my little hands. I absolutely love supporting other fashion based companies and shop from them often. So go check out ATNA, I'm sure you'll find some treasures for you there.
So yes that's it my ladies! Enjoy the weekend, have a blessed Friday. I totally have a million and one things to do today. I'm even typing fast because the baby is hungry and I have to pick up Kira from school in like 20 min. Eeeeep! Help lol
Till next time.
