For the longest time now I've been wanting a glittery sequin pencil skirt and though I got a light grey one from Express months ago it didn't fit right as I'm well very tiny. Luckily at the Apostolic Convention going on in Long Beach last weekend our dear friends from Munoz Skirts had an X-Small sequin pencil skirt hidden amongst there mountains of fabulous prints. I knew it was meant to be :)
So I finally had the quite bright skirt in hand, now what to wear with such a glam piece? I didn't wanna do the typical black top black heels black purse thing although a great alternative, that look was just to safe for me so I opted for mixing odd colors and adding tons of random accesories that would compliment each other. Yes the black top had to stay other wise I'd look like skittles kissed the rainbow but I figured adding deep tones not only worked with the season but also complimented the color of the skirt. Burgundy boot heels from Steve Madden in a suede feel and an oversized burgundy clutch from Juicy Couture with gold hardware like accents on the front balanced out my look. A tri-chained double buckle belt that will soon be in the PKC shop made well with my chain wrap charm watch and finally my chinchilla scarf curteousy of my lovely Momma as she knows just how much much I love fur made it's way around my neck. The scarf has beautiful tones of purple, honey, brown and burgundy so it definitely added glam to the look as fur always does. Literally threw my hair up in a high pony tail mushed my crazy uncontrollable curls together and stuck what felt like a million bobby pins in my hair and there ya have it. My sequined pencil skirt and this sequin inspired outfit came to be. Hope all you ladies are having a wonderful holiday season and enjoying those oh so yummy pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Can't wait to bring a winter lookbook video to you gals soon! P.S be bold this season ;)
